Knitting 201: First Hat

Skill Level: Beginner; students should be comfortable with the knit stitch and the purl stitch, as well as casting on.
Class Description:
Continue your knitucation and learn all about knitting in the round, switching between knits and purls for a ribbed fabric, reading a pattern, and decreasing. We will be knitting a 1x1 ribbed beanie (pattern provided!) that is gender neutral, and can be worn either folded and snug to the head or unfolded and slouchy.
Materials: Students should bring to class:
- 210-230 yards of worsted weight yarn.
- Circular Knitting needles size US 9 (5.5mm), length 16"
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Class Minimum: 3 students
Class Maximum: 8 students

Class Policy: This class requires a minimum of 5 students. Notification of cancellation will be sent within 3 days before class start time if the minimum is not met. In the case of shop cancellation, all registered students will be refunded the class fee. Any additional fees including materials and shipping will not be refunded. Student cancellations are not refundable. Store Credit or class transfers may be issued for student cancellations up to 3 days before class start date. After that, transfers or store credits will not be issued. Missed classes or no-shows can not be refunded, exchanged or transferred.
Covid Policy: Masks are currently optional but encouraged. Please bring your own mask. Please do not attend class if you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of class start time.
