Jólabókaflóð , The Christmas Book Flood, is an Icelandic tradition. Books are exchanged on Christmas Eve, followed by spending the rest of the evening (and often the next day) reading the new book. Sounds perfect to me. Here is a great list of sure to please the whole gang on Christmas Eve.
