Tumalo Fibers is hand dyed in Bend, Oregon in small batches on sustainably produced fibers. We love their US Shaniko Wool and deep high desert inspired colors!
Origin: Merino/Rambouillet cross sheep raised by family owned ranches in the Great Basin Region of the West.
About: Shaniko wool is a truly sustainable wool. It is RWS certified which aims to protect the welfare of the animals, the land, and the workers. Read more on Ghost Town made from Shaniko Wool.
Tip: Alternate skeins to distribute color evenly.
All our indie dyed yarns such as this are hand dyed in small batches and colors will vary from skein to skein. Each photo is of a single skein from a specific batch and represents the general aspects of each colorway but may not be an exact match. We highly recommend purchasing multiple skeins at once for larger projects.
