Stitch Your Own Patches – Portland-Inspired Embroidery Workshop

When: Thursday, October 23rd from 6:30-8:30pm, in-person

Skill Level: Total Beginner.  No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and creativity. You’ll leave with personalized patches and the skills to keep stitching at home!

Materials: Full kit included! Pattern and Materials will be provided in class. If you have a small pair of scissors bring those, but not necessary. Kit includes:

•    2 blank merrowed-edge patches
•    4 Portland-inspired designs printed on water-soluble stabilizer. Plus a few bonus designs and some blank water soluble stabilizer to design your own!
•    Embroidery needle and coordinating DMC threads
•    Easy-to-follow instructions and stitch guide

Class Description:

Join us for a fun and beginner-friendly embroidery workshop where you’ll learn the basics of hand embroidery while creating your own custom patches! Amy will teach you a handful of essential stitches and explore different ways to attach patches to clothing, bags, or accessories. The designs, inspired by Portland, will include the St Johns Bridge, a Rose and a few more! You will learn the skills to get started on a patch of your choice and leave with supplies and know how to continue your patches at home.

Class maximum: 12

Class Policy: This class requires a minimum of 5 students. Notification of cancellation will be sent within 3 days before class start time if the minimum is not met. In the case of shop cancellation, all registered students will be refunded the class fee. Any additional fees including materials and shipping will not be refunded. Student cancellations are not refundable. Store Credit or class transfers may be issued for student cancellations up to 7 days before class start date. After that, transfers or store credits will not be issued. Missed classes or no-shows can not be refunded, exchanged or transferred.

Covid Policy: Masks are currently optional but encouraged. Please bring your own mask. Please do not attend class if you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of class start time.
