Banned Books Challenge 2025
June 15 to August 15 Read 1-20 Banned Books and get entered to win prizes from local shops like RoM Shoes and Starter Bread! Choose from two lists.
Two Rivers is laying down the gauntlet and challenging our community to purchase and read banned and challenged books. The American Library Association reported 1,247 attempts to censor library books and resources in 2023, primarily driven by efforts of pressure groups to censor multiple titles at a time in public and school libraries.
Two Rivers will donate $1 per banned book purchased to the American Library Association's Unite Against Book Bans. Help halt censorship in our public and school libraries, empower individuals who fight censorship in their communities, and preserve our right to choose what to read.
In support, Weird Sisters will donate 10% of sales from Banned Book mini-skein sets dyed by Ex Libris Fibers and provide a list of Banned Book patterns.
To register simply RSVP for our Banned Book Challenge Here and pick up your Banned Book Challenge Book Mark. Completed bookmarks will be entered into a raffle to win prizes from RoM Shoes, Starter Bread and more.
We also invite you to join the Banned Book Club on Sept. 9, 6:30pm to discuss and learn more about Banned Books.
